Browsing the Website

When browsing the website, information is gathered and stored about the pages you visit.  This information if used for statistical reporting and during this browsing, personal information is not gathered unless you elect to provide this information.

Information Collected

MyRvLink collects and stores email addresses of Consumers who choose to communicate with us via email or any of the webforms on the site.  MyRvLink also stores information about the various web pages on our site that are visited by our users.  All of this information is used to make improvements to the content of our website, provide additional services, notify users of updates, responding to questions, product developments, and to contact Consumers for marketing purposes.

MyRvLInk may also collects other information from Consumers related to demograpics, forum postings, blogs, survey answers, promotional participation, contest or any other interactive areas of the website.

Information is also passed on to MyRvLink partner companies when submitted and authorized by users who wish to obtain communication such as credit reporting, insurance quotes, finance quotes, vehicle quotes, or any of the other businesses in the various MyRvLink Directories.  MyRvLink does not offer financing, insurance, credit reporting, or vehicles directly and only serves as a communication portal to bring RV Consumers together with companies that offer these products and services.

All of the information that is gathered by MyRvLink from Consumers in any of the above methods become the property of MyRvLInk and may be used in any manner that is decribed in this policy.

Security

MyRvLink understands the importance of security for our users. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us by our users, both during transmission and once we have received it. We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology to protect personal data such as credit card information and finance or insurance information during transmission, and maintain other reasonable precautions to protect information that we store in our database.

Your registration information is accessible online only through the use of a password. To protect the confidentiality of your personal information, it is imperative that you keep your password confidential and not disclose it to any other individual. You are responsible for all uses of the Website by any person using your password. Please advise us immediately if you believe your password has been misused or otherwise misappropriated.

No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, can be guaranteed 100% secure. We strive to use commercially acceptable methods to protect your personal information but we cannot guarantee its absolute security 100%. Framed Sections of Our Website

Outside relationships are maintained with third party providers for some of the services offered on the website where the information is presented directly as the third partiy providers own web page within a MyRvLink web frame.  NADA is an example of a frame.  This “frame” format, where the MyRvLink border surrounds the pages presented by the other provider, displays information that is controlled by the third party provider.  This information is subject to change based on the provider and is not subject to the Privacy Policy of MyRvLink.  Where these frames are located on the website, the provider name is displayed on the page.  We encourage all users to read the privacy policy for these third party companies as they may differ from MyRvLink.

MyRvLink may also collect personal information in these framed pages utilizing tools provided by the third party company.  Any information collected via the third party company will be subject to the same guidelines explained above by MyRvLink.  The information gathered however may be subject to different guidelines as outlined in the privacy policy provided by the third party company.

Forums & Blogs

MyRvLink offers forums and blogs on its Website and information you disclose in these forums and blogs will be available to all MyRvLink registered members.  This information can increase the risk of receiving unsolicited email from other parties. It is reccomended by MyRvLink that you use discretion when disclosing any information in these Forums and Blogs.

Other Uses of Personal Information

Information that you have agreed to provide can be used to improve the user’s experience of the website as well as to conduct market research for other MyRvLink business needs.  Also in some cases, personal information that you have agreed to provide MyRvLink may be shared with other third parties for identifying products and services that may interest you.  In addition, your information that is stored in our database is used for the preparation of reports to analyze how the website is used and to see what products, services, and other factors are of interest by our users.

If other information is received from third party companies that we have relationships with, we may use that information in combination with the information you have provided to us via our website.  In this case, the combined information is subject to the same guidelines outlined in this policy.

Product and Service Requests Information are also sent to third parties for the purpose of responding to the consumers requests. Also, Finance Information is sent to third parties for vehicle financing requests. In either case the information is sent to dealers, manufacturers, lenders or fulfillment entities, warranty, insurance, and other directory listed companies as applicable, who may be in a position to respond to your request. As part of the request process, we may verify the information you provide, or obtain missing address or other contact or demographic information, from third parties.

Occasionally, when MyRvLink does not have a third party company available to assist you, we may forward your request information to a manufacturer or another referral service for assistance in finding the best party to proivde you with a response. By submitting us your request, this authorizes us to do this if needed. Any requests forwarded in this way becomes subject to the security and privacy policies that are posted on the websites of those third parties.

Any request information transmitted to a dealer, manufacturer, lender or fulfillment entity, warranty, insurance, or other directory listed company becomes the property of that entity. The information is used to process your request and to provide you with information about the requested products and services. Any request to opt-out of future third-party communications must be made directly to that third party.

Right To Opt out of Communication from MyRvLink or Third Party Companies

We provide our users with the ability to choose whether to receive certain communications from us and whether to allow their information to be disclosed to third parties for marketing or related purposes.

Users whose purchase, finance or other requests are submitted through third-party websites and are referred to us will receive those marketing communications and their information will be shared with other third parties unless they elect to opt out of those communications and disclosures.

To opt out of a category of email from us, click on the remove link at the bottom of the email. Also, you may email Customer Service at service@MyRvLink.com with the word "Remove" in the subject line, and we will remove you from all further email marketing communication within five (7) business days.

In each case, even if you decide not to receive offers or other product or service information, MyRvLink and its member dealers or manufacturers, fulfillment third-parties, may use a phone number, mailing address or email address that you have provided to contact you regarding a request or content that you have submitted or in connection with other administrative matters, such as operation of our Website. Additionally, phone numbers may be used to conduct customer surveys regarding individual experiences with MyRvLink or MyRvLink-accredited dealers. Phone numbers are made available only to MyRvLink, its affiliates and member dealers, lenders or manufacturers or other referral services who receive your request.

The submission of a purchase or financing request itself is permission for us to submit your Purchase Request Information or Finance Information (as applicable) to third parties to fulfill your request. If you request to opt-out of receiving emails from us and subsequently submit a purchase or finance request (either directly or submitted through third-party websites and are referred to us), we will assume that you wish to reinstate your relationship with us and we will use your information as set forth herein, unless you subsequently request to opt-out. Each time you submit a purchase or finance request, this process will restart.

Emailing-A-Friend

Throughout the website there are options to email a friend to notify them of the website, a vehicle offered for sale, as well as other products and services offered on the site.  If you choose to notify a friend, MyRvLink will ask you for the friends name and email address.  Your friend will then receive a one time email from us on behalf of you inviting them to visit the website.  We will not store this information as it is only a referral and has not been requested by the friend.  This information is used only for the purpose of sending this one time email and tracking the number of friends that choose to respond to the email.

Cookies

MyRvLink offers users some levels of personalization by using Cookies. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that are transferred to your computer's hard drive through your website browser. When this information is stored on your hard drive, our system is able to recognize your browser and in turn customize web page content for you.

Please note that cookies cannot be used to retrieve data from your hard drive or obtain your email address or any other personal information. When a cookie is set, your browser will check it for length, an expiration date, and where it originated.

We also use a third party tracking service that sets cookies on our Website to track visits, page views and click stream behavior.
